Loving the new nature based prints.....

I have been experimenting for a while now with an old technique called Canotype printing. This incredibly sensitive technique which never gives the same results twice... it can be stunningly rewarding and ridiculously frustrating at the same time. I love to forage the local streets and neigbour's gardens for my favourite plants and flowers and let the sun and light design the rest. The surprise and chance involved in the end result feels never ceases to surprise me.

Some of these prints I decided to explore further with ink and watercolour and and silver pen. Layers many different styles to come to the finished piece. Its made a gorgeous collection I am going to exhibit in 3 different shows both locally and regionally throughout September and October 2018.
